Lifetime Doors, Inc. started in business in 1947 when the Midwest Plywood Company, a wholesaler of plywood and doors, unable to purchase sufficient quantities to meet growing post-war demand, began manufacturing flush doors under the Wisconsin Knight Door Company name, later merging Wisconsin Knight into what is now Lifetime Doors.
